Calculation of several major elements of mold temperature machine:
A. Find the heater power or freezing power
KW=W×△t×C×S/860×T
W = Mold weight or cooling water KG
t = temperature difference between the desired temperature and the starting temperature.
C = Specific heat Oil (0.5), Steel (0.11), Water (1), Plastic (0.45~0.55)
B. Find the size of the pump
Need to know the pump flow and pressure (head) required by the customer
P(pressure Kg/cm2)=0.1×H(head M)×α (specific gravity of heat transfer medium, water = 1, oil = 0.7-0.9)
L (media required flow L/min) = Q (heat required by the mold Kcal/H) / C (media specific hot water = 1 oil = 0.45) ×t (temperature difference between the circulating media in and out of the mold) ×α× 60
2. Freezer capacity selection
A, Q (freezing amount Kcal/H) = Q1 + Q2
Q1 (the heat of raw materials into the mold, Kcal/H) = W (the weight of raw materials injected into the mold per hour, KG) ×C× (T1-T2)×S (safety factor 1.5~2)
T1 The temperature of the raw material in the feed tube; T2 The temperature at which the finished product is taken out of the mold
Q2 Heat generated by the hot sprue, Kcal/H
B. Speed algorithm (not applicable with hot runner)

3. Cooling water tower selection = A+B
A. For injection molding machine
Cooling water tower RT = injection machine horsepower (HP) × 0.75KW×860Kcal× 0.4÷3024
B. For freezers
Cooling water tower RT = freezer tons (HP) × 1.25
